What’s your relationship with Spotify?

Mighty is intended to work with Spotify. While we’ve had discussions with Spotify about a potential partnership, we’re not currently an official Spotify partner and Mighty has not been approved by Spotify. We will provide our backers with real-time updates as we continue our discussions with Spotify. Last updated: Thu, Mar 3 2016 8:51 pm EST

Does Mighty work with iOS devices too?

Yes, Mighty is fully compatible with all iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android devices. Last updated: Thu, Mar 3 2016 2:14 pm EST

Does Mighty work with non-paying Spotify accounts?

Does Mighty work with Bluetooth headphones and speakers?

Yes, Mighty is compatible with both Bluetooth (and wired) headphones and Bluetooth speakers. Last updated: Thu, Mar 3 2016 2:14 pm EST

Can Mighty play albums and songs or just playlists?

Currently, Mighty only works with playlists. We decided to stick with playlists so that Mighty is super easy to use with physical buttons. Each time you press the playlist selector button, Mighty will scroll through your synced playlists and will speak the name of the selected playlist to you. If you want to sync an album or a collection of songs, just group them into a playlist and give it an intuitive name. Last updated: Mon, Feb 22 2016 11:23 pm EST

Does Mighty have song shuffling functionality?

The ability to shuffle songs within a playlist has been a top feature request. Good news - our development team has been hard at work and just confirmed that shuffle mode will be enabled in our first release. Users will have the ability to toggle between straight playback and shuffle with the click of a button. You spoke, we listened. Last updated: Mon, Mar 14 2016 2:21 pm EDT

How do you charge the device?

Mighty is charged using a standard micro-USB Type-B cable. This is the same cable that charges most Android phones and other small, rechargeable electronics. Last updated: Mon, Feb 22 2016 11:23 pm EST

Do you plan on supporting USB Type-C charging?

We do not currently support USB Type-C, but we’re actively exploring is as an option. We’ll keep our backers updated as final functionality decisions are made. Last updated: Wed, Feb 24 2016 6:40 pm EST

Is Mighty waterproof or water resistant?

Currently, Mighty is water resistant, meaning it can handle rain, splashing, sweat, and a quick rinse in the sink in case it gets muddy. A little water won’t hurt it, but submerging it in water, wearing it in a sauna or steam room, or washing with soaps will allow moisture to pass our water resistance barriers. A waterproof version of Mighty is at the top of our product development list. We know it’s possible from a technical standpoint and we think that swimming with Mighty would be super cool, so we’re hoping to build that immediately after we release the first version of Mighty. For now, Mighty should be fine a run in the rain. Last updated: Fri, Mar 4 2016 10:56 am EST

Does Mighty work with other apps or music streaming services?

The first version of Mighty will aim to integrate with Spotify only, but we plan on expanding our support to additional streaming music services in the near future. Integration with new music services will not require new hardware and can be done remotely through a software update. Mighty does not currently have an official partnership with Spotify or any other streaming music service. We’re currently in discussion with multiple services about an official partnership and we’ll keep our backers updated as we make progress. Last updated: Thu, Mar 3 2016 2:14 pm EST

Yes, Mighty is fully compliant with the digital rights management (DRM) policies that are in place for Spotify and other streaming music services. Mighty runs on Android and follows all of the same DRM policies that are implemented on a smartphone. This means that Mighty must “check-in” with the streaming music service every 30 days to make record of what songs have been played. Luckily, Mighty checks-in each time you sync new playlists via the Mighty mobile app. So long as you sync once a month, you’re good! Last updated: Thu, Mar 3 2016 2:14 pm EST

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
